League of California Cities highlights SEU
Western Cities is a publication of the League of California Cities. The magazine has recognized the significant role of CEEP-developed SEUs for reducing energy consumption and expanding the use of renewable energy. As a start to more wide-scale efforts, the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA) has partnered with the Foundation for Renewable Energy and Environment (FREE) founded by CEEP’s own Dr. John Byrne, to develop models for energy efficiency and renewable energy investment inspired by the SEU Model. The magazine features the SEU as a viable option for cities to reduce their utility expenses dramatically.
